The Barn District

The character of an environment is often lost as urbanization takes place. The Barn District needed to preserve the agrarian history of the location while providing a functional commercial space. As we joined the Barn District project, SO-RED’s goal was to unite cultural and practical elements for a result that benefits the Gallatin Valley while staying true to its history.

Not only did SO-RED help navigate all the details of development, we also shaped the Barn District to incorporate Bozeman’s historic agrarian culture into the project. The decision for the barn theme to lead the project established our goal from the beginning. By preserving the work of the past, the Barn District paves the way for the work of following generations.
